Haven’t been active for a while? Are you just really new to fitness and looking for some direction or help figuring out how to start?
Start with an in-depth, focused BodyTuneUP session to take stock of your natural preferences, strengths, and current weaknesses, and get recommendations on safe and sustainable ways to start.
Based on your BodyTuneUP assessments, we work with you to create and implement your Start UP! Plan, sometimes mixing in class recommendations with private 1:1 work. The recommended frequency, focus, and duration of subsequent private sessions is determined by your initial assessment. Some people transition out of this Start UP! Training into group classes, while others prefer to stick with private training.
INJURY RECOVERY WORKOUTS
Working with an injury and tired of it holding you back from movement? Or recovering from injury or surgery, maybe completed physical therapy, but not feeling confident about getting moving again?
Let us support you through your transition! We are experts in safe movement, as well as movement-based pain reduction. We are masters of modification for a wide array of injuries, and can help you explore many alternative movements and progressions to help you build integrated and balanced strength, slowly but surely, over time.

ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE & INJURY PREVENTION
Grammar school, High school, College and Semi-Pro athletes and hopefuls come to us for smart and careful, tailored workouts, sometimes after injury, sometimes in hopes of preventing injury or managing chronic pain or other issues created by imbalanced movement patterns, and other times to just gain a competitive edge through our specialized training in full-body breathing and deep core integration.
We also love working with athletes who wish to leap forward in certain areas such as cardiovascular capacity and stamina, mobility, and full kinetic chain activation in movement.
We contract regularly with sport teams and military units to bring yoga, mobility training, core activation, or injury prevention best practices into their training regimens. Learn more about GROUP CLASSES.
With individuals, we always begin with a full BodyTuneUP assessment to fully understand any imbalances created by your sport, patterns of overcompensation, weaknesses, and greatest vulnerabilities toward injury. With teams, we usually like to speak with coaches about goals and challenges, as well as visit an existing team practice for an initial quick assessment. The recommended frequency, focus, and duration of subsequent private sessions is determined by your initial assessment.
RANGER SCHOOL PREP
Rangers come to us to supplement the strength and conditioning work they are already getting with tailored training focused often improving form and preventing injury.
Typically we begin with a full BodyTuneUP to assess mobility, deep core activation, breathing, form, and vulnerability towards injury. After we identify your weakest links, we design a workout plan (some of which are exercises you can incorporate into your daily workouts) to build strength, improve form and stamina, or reduce exposure to injury risk. We may do breathing practice with you, rucking or pushup form practice, or assisted stretching and mobility work, depending up on your needs. OSTEOPOROSIS & FALL PREVENTION
Reduce the fear of falling, and gently and steadily improve strength, flexibility, balance - and sometimes bone density - with our tried-and-true process.
Work with our gentle, supportive, and knowledgeable Body Experts to re-establish your connection with your “center of gravity,” and learn how to reawaken the connection and communication between your brain and your feet. Awaken, stretch and strengthen the tiny muscles of the feet and legs for a stronger and steadier connection to the ground.
Through assisted stretching and yoga- and physical-therapy based movements, we help you stretch tight muscles, improve basic mobility, reduce back or joint pain, and often sleep better too.
As mobility allows, we may also get you comfortable with the ground, and more confident in how to get up and down from it. We may use small weights, resistance bands, or graduations of partial bodyweight to safely build your strength and bone density. We use fun and simple exercises that meet you at your current level of comfort and ability, but improve your body’s strength, balance and fall responses.
We always begin bone-strengthening and Fall Prevention work with a full BodyTuneUP assessment to fully understand your patterns, and preferences. We may ask for materials and information from your doctor. We work out a plan together, and sometimes in partnership with your doctor.
